Lurk Logic (a product of Zerosum) is a downloadable digital software product. Unlike physical goods, it cannot be "returned" once it has been downloaded. Furthermore, our software is sold DRM-Free (without intrusive license keys or activation servers) to respect your privacy and ownership.
Because we cannot revoke access to the software once it is in your possession, ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for:
"Buyer's remorse" or change of mind.
Incompatibility with your operating system (it is your responsibility to check the System Requirements below before buying).
Failure to obtain or maintain a third-party API key (e.g., Google Gemini) or Reddit account.
The product not meeting your specific subjective expectations.
2. QUEBEC CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT (NOTICE TO RESIDENTS)
For customers in Quebec, this transaction constitutes a "distance contract" under the Consumer Protection Act.
Performance of Contract: You acknowledge that the contract is fully performed the moment the download link is provided to you.
Waiver: By clicking "Pay" or "Complete Order," you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that you lose your right of rescission (cancellation) once the download becomes available.
3. EXCEPTIONS (TECHNICAL FAULTS)
While we maintain a strict No Refund policy, we comply with statutory warranties regarding product quality. We may, at our sole discretion, issue a refund ONLY if:
The Software is proven to be technically defective (e.g., it crashes instantly on a supported Windows machine); AND
You have worked with our Support Team (support@zerosum.ca) to troubleshoot the issue; AND
The issue cannot be resolved within 7 business days.
Note: Bugs caused by third-party API changes (Reddit/Google) are NOT considered defects of the Software.
4. CHARGEBACK POLICY
We view illegitimate chargebacks (claiming "Fraud" or "Item not received" after downloading the software) as theft.
If you initiate a chargeback without contacting support first, we will dispute it with your bank by providing:
Proof of purchase (IP address, Email, Timestamp).
Server logs showing the download was accessed.
This agreed-upon Policy.
We reserve the right to blacklist your email and IP address from future updates and support.
