LURK LOGIC PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: December 14, 2025

1. INTRODUCTION

Zerosum ("we," "us," or "our"), doing business as Lurk Logic, respects your privacy. We are a company based in Quebec, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit our website or use the Lurk Logic desktop application (the "Software").

Our Core Privacy Philosophy: Lurk Logic is designed as a "Local-First" application. Unlike cloud-based SaaS tools, we do not store your campaigns, keywords, leads, or strategies on our servers. Your business data resides solely on your personal device.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

A. Information You Provide to Us (Transactional)

When you purchase a license for the Software, we (or our third-party payment processors) collect:

  • Contact Information: Name and email address.
  • Payment Information: Billing details (processed securely by Stripe/LemonSqueezy; we do not store full credit card numbers).
  • Purpose: To deliver your license key, send purchase receipts, and provide customer support.

B. Data Processed by the Software (Local Data)

The Software generates and processes the following data, which is stored locally on your device (specifically in the config.json file) and is never transmitted to us:

  • Campaign Data: Subreddits, keywords, and competitor names you track.
  • Lead Data: Reddit posts, comments, and user information scanned by the Software.
  • AI Settings: Your custom personas, product descriptions, and drafted replies.
  • API Keys: Your Google Gemini API credentials.

C. Automatic Data Collection (Minimal)

  • Update Checks: When you launch the Software, it sends a generic request to our version server (e.g., GitHub or our website) to check if a new version is available. This request may log standard web server information like your IP address and User-Agent string, but contains no personal or campaign data.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the limited information we collect (Transactional Data) solely to:

  • Process your payment and deliver the Software.
  • Verify your license status.
  • Send you important technical notices, updates, or security alerts.
  • Respond to your support requests.

4. DATA SHARING & THIRD PARTIES

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data. However, the Software interacts directly with third-party services to function:

  • Google Gemini API: When you run a scan, the Software sends post content and your system prompts directly from your computer to Google's servers using your personal API Key. This data is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Reddit: The Software fetches public RSS feeds directly from Reddit servers using your internet connection. This activity is subject to Reddit’s Privacy Policy.
  • Payment Processors: We use [Stripe / LemonSqueezy] to handle payments. Their use of your personal information is governed by their respective privacy policies.

Location of Data & International Transfers

We are based in Quebec, Canada. However, our service providers (such as Stripe for payments or Google for API services) may process data in jurisdictions outside of Quebec, including the United States. By using the Software, you acknowledge that your Transactional Data may be transferred to these jurisdictions and is subject to their local laws.

5. DATA RETENTION

  • Transactional Data: We retain your purchase history and email address indefinitely to validate your lifetime license and provide support.
  • App Data: You control the retention of your local data. You can delete your campaigns, empty the "Trash" (Dismissed leads), or delete the config.json file at any time to permanently erase data from your device.

6. SECURITY

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the Transactional Data we hold (e.g., SSL encryption for website traffic).

  • Your Responsibility: Because the Software stores sensitive data (like leads and API keys) locally on your hard drive, you are responsible for securing your device (e.g., using passwords, antivirus software, and disk encryption).

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18.

8. YOUR RIGHTS

Under Quebec Law 25, the GDPR, and other applicable laws, you have rights regarding the Transactional Data we hold (e.g., your email and license status):

  • Right to Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: You may ask us to correct inaccurate information (e.g., updating your email address).
  • Right to Erasure: You may request that we delete your Transactional Data, provided it is not required for tax or legal purposes. Note that deleting this data will invalidate your lifetime license.

To exercise these rights, please contact our Privacy Officer (details below).

9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.

9. CONTACT & PRIVACY OFFICER
